Best Romantic Moments in Friends Episodes

May 26, 2022

The ever-popular Friends show might be a comedy TV series. But there’s no shortage of romantic moments, with all characters experiencing loved-up moments at some point or another. From Ross and Rachel’s ongoing love affair to Monica and Chandler’s secret romance, the plot has plenty of twists and turns. So let’s check out the scenes that pulled on our heart strings the most.

  1. The Prom Video

In The One with the Prom Video, the guys watch an old clip of the girls getting ready for prom, recorded by Monica’s parents. Rachel thinks she’s been stood up. So Ross’ dad convinces him to take her instead. He runs upstairs to get ready and reappears in a suit, only to find that Rachel’s boyfriend has now arrived. As adults, this event is something that still haunts Ross. but Rachel didn’t know what he had planned to do that night - until watching the video. After watching the clip, she grabs Ross and kisses him, with Phoebe claiming, “He’s her lobster.” Catch a recreation of the prom video in “Friendsical” featuring a very questionable tux!

  1. Ross and Rachel’s First Kiss

Rachel gets drunk and calls Ross, confessing her feelings for him. This leads to him breaking up with Julie and having a heated conversation with Rachel in the coffee shop to which he says, “You had no right to tell me you ever had feelings for me,” angrily confirming that he was “doing great with Julie.” The pair have a heated exchange and Ross storms out. Rachel is distraught and seen crying on the couch but then Ross reappears at the door and the pair share their very first proper kiss. Awwww.

  1. Chandler and Monica’s Proposal

Chandler wants to propose. But in a bid to make it a surprise he attempts to throw Monica off the scent by pretending he never wants to marry. This confuses Monica, who then goes to visit her ex Richard, who has recently confessed he still loves her. Everything is going wrong. But the Friends step in and everything is cleared up for Monica. This leads her to setup a romantic proposal for Chandler in their candle-decorated apartment.

  1. Phoebe and Mike’s Wedding

Phoebe had a pretty dysfunctional childhood. So it’s incredibly heart-warming to see her finally marry Mike - despite a whole lot of chaos and a blizzard sweeping in. Surrounded by her closest friends, the pair enjoy a beautiful outdoor wedding in the snow complete with a steel band (and avery, very cold dog). Monica, of course, is in her element bossing everyone around, but the ceremony turns out to be a great success. In Friendsical, Phoebe looks for a Mike among the audience… Could it be you?

  1. Rachel Comes Back

In the series finale, Rachel is moving to Paris and is seen getting on the plane despite Ross racing to the airport to confess his love. When Ross gets back to his apartment, a voicemail from Rachel comes through. She says, “I didn’t even get to say I love you too. Because of course I do. I love you. I love you. I love you. What am I doing? I love you. I’ve gotta see you, I’ve gotta get off this plane.” Viewers are left wondering whether or not she made it off and then Rachel steps into the apartment stating, “I got off the plane.” YAY! Celebrate these great romances in Friendsical, with original songs such as “Lobster”, “You’re Over Me? When Were You Under Me?” and “Drink the Fat”.
